About Judith Warman-Adams

My artistic journey has been a deeply personal and evolving one, cultivated through a self-taught approach. Navigating the mobility constraints brought on by Parkinson's Disease, I discovered pastel painting to be an exquisitely suitable medium, offering both expressive freedom and practical accessibility within my creative process. My work frequently draws upon photographic resources, enabling me to explore and interpret a diverse array of subjects without physical limitations. While natural landscapes constitute the foundational core of my portfolio, my artistic interests also extend significantly into abstract forms.

Each day, I dedicate several focused hours to my artistic pursuits, transforming a modest section of my home into a dedicated studio space. The dynamic and tactile nature of pastels, particularly the rewarding experience of meticulously blending hues, profoundly captivates me. This fascination is frequently expressed through my extensive series depicting the legendary New Mexico skies, a breathtaking panorama that has inspired countless artists across generations. Immersed in such profound visual beauty, I cannot help but engage in rapt observation and find continuous, often compelling, inspiration. Ultimately, through my artwork, I strive to capture and honor this extraordinary natural splendor.
